The Read Sisters do Amsterdam

Last week, my sister came to visit me! We toured around Amsterdam together and then she came to stay with us in Eindhoven, before catching her flight to Greece with a friend on Thursday. (The same day Michiel and I went on our trip to London! Pics of that to come soon).

We stayed at a cute hostel in Amsterdam and had great weather for exploring the city. We went on a walking tour, checked out the Anne Frank museum, wandered around Vondelpark, bought dresses and accessories at the Waterlooplein market, and visited the World Press Photography exhibit at the Oude Kerk. We also, of course, had to check out the Red Light District :D

Here’s a few pictures from our adventures!

On the train just after picking her up at the airport

Amsterdam!!

Canals

Cute cafe

Roses!

Jess found a pretty cool old car...

Canal lovin'

This is the narrowest house in alllllll of Amsterdam (and perhaps the world) hahaha

Meow!

Lots of bicycles everywhere. Amsterdam locals are insane bike riders and the like to play a game called "Let's hit the tourists." They get 10 points for each one. :P

Smoked salmon and cream cheese on french bread for dinner at our hostel room's street-view terrace thing. Feelin' like kings.

Palace? I forget... I think Napoleon lived here. Or his brother. Or something.

Ooooh, Aaahhhhh....

At the "I Amsterdam" sign :D

In Vondelpark :)
